4 Doing more with your camera

Customizing your camera

Use Setup to customize your camera settings.

  1. In any mode, press the Menu button.

  2. Press to highlight Setup Menu, then press the OK button.

  3. Press to highlight the setting you wish to change, then press the OK button.

  4. Choose an option, then press the OK button.

Setting Options

Return to previous menu.

Camera Sounds

Choose sound effects.

Theme - applies the same sound effect set to all functions.

Individual - choose a sound for each function.

LCD Brightness

Choose LCD brightness.

Power Save

Choose inactivity time until LCD dims.

Choose inactivity time until camera turns off.

Date & Time

See Setting the language and date/time.

Video Out

Choose the regional setting that lets you connect the camera to a television or other external device.

NTSC (default) - used in North America and Japan; most common format.

PAL - used in Europe and China.

Photo Frame

Choose EasyShare photo frame dock 2 settings.

Interval (between slide show frames)

Loop (On/Off, for slide show)

Transition (between slide show frames)

Source (Auto/Internal/Favorites)

Run Time (for slide show)

Auto Picture Rotation

Orient pictures so that they are displayed with the correct side up on the camera.

On (default)

Orientation Sensor

Orient pictures so that they are displayed with the correct side up on the computer.

On (default)

Off

On Transfer—sets Orientation Sensor on camera LCD to Off. When a picture is transferred to the computer using EasyShare software, it is rotated to the proper orientation.

Red Eye Preflash

Choose if a preflash fires when the flash is in Red Eye mode.

On (default) - red eye flash fires before the picture is taken.

Off - red eye flash does not fire.

NOTE: The camera automatically corrects red eye, even if the Red Eye Preflash is set to Off.

Date Stamp

Imprint the date on pictures.

Choose a date option, or turn off the feature. (Default is off.)

Video Date Display

Display Date/Time at the start of video playback.

Choose a date option, or turn off the feature. (Default is off.)

Blur Warning

On (default)Off

Language

Choose your language.

Format

CAUTION:
Formatting deletes all pictures/videos, including those that are protected. Removing a card during formatting may damage the card.

Memory Card - deletes everything on the card; formats the card.

Cancel - exits without making a change.

Internal Memory - deletes everything in internal memory including email addresses, album names, and favorites; formats the internal memory.
