KODAK EASYSHARE Z980 Digital Camera — User guide

Shutter button does not work.

• If the Portrait switch is in the Portrait position, only the Portrait Shutter button works ().

Camera does not turn on.

• Install new batteries (Charging and loading the batteries).

• Charge rechargeable batteries.

Camera does not turn off.

• Remove the battery, then reinsert or replace it. If the camera still does not function, visit www.kodak.com/go/z980support and select Step-by-Step Solutions and Repair.

Pictures remaining number does not decrease after taking a picture.

• The camera is operating normally. Continue taking pictures.

Stored pictures are corrupted.

• Retake pictures. Do not insert/remove card while the camera is on. Keep rechargeable batteries charged.

• Transfer the pictures to the computer (Transferring pictures/videos), then format the card or internal memory (see the Setup menu, Using the menu button to change settings).

  CAUTION: Formatting a card deletes all pictures and videos, including protected files.

In Review mode, you do not see a picture (or the expected picture) on the LCD or EVF.

• Check the image storage location setting (see the Setup menu, Using the menu button to change settings).
