2 Taking pictures/videos

Using the zoom

Use optical zoom to get up to 26X closer to your subject while taking pictures/videos.

IMPORTANT:

If the camera is in portrait mode (Using the vertical grip (for portrait orientation)), press to zoom.

		1. Use the LCD or EVF to frame your subject. (For focus distances, see Camera specifications.)
		2. Press Telephoto (T) to zoom in. Press Wide Angle (W) to zoom out.
		3. Take the picture or video.

NOTE:

To get a focused picture every time, remember: Use the framing marks, Using the framing marks. As you zoom in, you may need to move away from your subject. See Focus System on Camera specifications.

Using digital zoom

Digital zoom is not available in Smart Capture mode.

NOTE:

You may notice decreased image quality when using digital zoom.
