7 Copying
Copying a document
You can copy a document using the default settings, or you can make adjustments to the quantity, size, quality, and brightness of your copies. When you copy a document, the printer will always use paper from the main (bottom) paper tray.
Using the default settings to copy a document
The default settings are either the factory default settings (see Resetting factory defaults), or defaults that you have set on the printer (see ).
To copy a document using the current default settings:

Place the original document in the ADF or on the scanner glass (see Loading originals).

Press .

Touch Copy Document.

Press to begin copying.
NOTE: If you load the original document in the ADF, the ADF automatically feeds the document into the printer when you begin copying.
Adjusting the settings and copying a document

Place the original document in the ADF or on the scanner glass (see Loading originals).

Press .

Touch Copy Document, then touch Options.

Touch or , then touch the setting you want to change.
Changing the number of copies of a document

Place the original document in the ADF or on the scanner glass (see Loading originals).

Touch Copy Document.

Touch or to select a number.

Press to begin copying.
Enlarging or reducing the size of a copy

Place the original document in the ADF or on the scanner glass (see Loading originals).

Touch Copy Document, then touch Options.

Touch Copy Size.

Touch an enlargement or reduction selection.

Press to begin copying.
Darkening or lightening a copy

Place the original document in the ADF or on the scanner glass (see Loading originals).

Press .

Touch Copy Document, then touch Options.

Touch to select a number below zero for a darker copy, or press to select a number above zero for a lighter copy.
