Add Star Ratings

In the navigation pane under Rating, add 1 to 5 stars to your pictures/videos. Then view all the pictures with the same rating by clicking the stars in the navigation pane.

Pictures with a five-star rating were previously called Favorites.

In Thumbnails View

§  Select the pictures, then drag them onto the star rating. To remove the designation, select the pictures and drag them onto the white star .

§  Right-click a picture and select Set Rating As, then click the star rating. To remove the designation, click Unrated.

In Details View

Click a star in the Rating column. To remove the designation, click the white star .

Note: Star ratings are saved in the file properties so they appear with the picture in any application that checks the properties (for example, Microsoft Windows Photo Gallery, in the Windows Vista operating system).
