5 Customizing Your Camera Settings

Formatting Memory or MMC/SD Card

CAUTION:
Formatting deletes all pictures and videos. Removing a card during formatting may damage the card. Once formatting begins, it is completed even if you turn off the camera or change the Mode dial position.

1. Turn the Mode dial to Setup

2. Highlight Format

, then press the Select button.

3. Highlight an option:

FORMAT CARD—deletes everything on the card and reformats the card for use in the camera.

CANCEL FORMAT—exits without making a change.

FORMAT MEMORY—deletes everything in internal memory.

4. Press the Select button.

5. Highlight Continue Format, then press the Select button.

When the formatting is complete, the Setup menu is redisplayed.
