Changing picture-taking settings
You can change settings to get the best results from your camera. (Some settings are unavailable in some modes.)

Press the Menu button.

Press to highlight a setting, then press the OK button.

Choose an option, then press the OK button.

Press the Menu button to exit.

Self-timer A picture is taken 10 seconds after the Shutter button is pressed. (Place camera on a tripod or flat surface.) |

Off (default) On Press the Shutter button halfway, then completely down. To cancel the Self-timer before the picture is taken, press the Self-timer button. (The Self-timer setting remains on.) Use the same procedure to take a self-timer video, but press the Shutter button completely down:

Burst Camera takes up to 5 pictures (3 per second) while the Shutter button is pressed.Capture an expected event, such as a person swinging a golf club. |

Off (default) On Press the Shutter button halfway, then hold it completely down to take pictures. The camera stops taking pictures when you release the Shutter button, when the pictures are taken, or when there is no more storage space. During quickview, you can delete all pictures in the burst series. To delete selectively, do so in Review (see Deleting pictures and videos). |

Picture Size Choose a picture resolution. This setting remains until you change it. |

Long Time Exposure Choose how long the shutter stays open. |

Set Album Choose Album names. This setting remains until you change it. You can apply different Set Album choices to videos and to pictures. |

Off (default) On Pre-select album names before you take pictures or videos. Then, all the pictures or videos you take are tagged with those album names. See Pre-tagging for album names. |

Image Storage Choose a storage location for pictures and videos. This setting remains until you change it. |
