7 Troubleshooting

Status

Cause

The computer does not communicate with the camera

Turn on the camera.
Insert a charged battery (Inserting the battery).
Make sure the USB cable is securely connected on the camera and the computer port (Transferring pictures/videos with the USB cable).
Make sure the EasyShare software is installed (Installing the software).

NOTE:

This camera is not supported by Mac OS 8.6 or 9.x. You may capture pictures on a card, then use a card reader to transfer them to the computer.

Slide Show does not run on an external video device

Adjust the camera Video Out setting (NTSC or PAL, ).
Make sure the external device settings are correct (see the device's user's guide).
