5 Troubleshooting

Picture quality problems

If... Try one or more of the following

Picture is too dark or underexposed

  • Reposition camera for more available light.

Picture is too light or overexposed

  • Reposition camera to reduce the amount of available light.

Picture is not clear

  • To automatically set exposure and focus, press the Shutter button halfway and hold. When the AF/AE indicator turns green, press the Shutter button completely down to take the picture.

  • Clean the lens (Additional care and maintenance).

  • Make sure camera is not in Close-up mode if you are outside of the close-up focus specification.

  • Make sure camera is not in Telephoto mode if you are closer than the telephoto focus specification.

  • Place the camera on a flat, steady surface or use a tripod, especially in high-zoom settings or in low light.
