4 Doing more with your camera

Using the Setup menu

Press Menu. Tap Setup, then to access settings Options

Camera Sounds

Choose sound effects.

Choose On/Off for Power On, Shutter, Self-Timer, Focus Lock, Touch Tone, and Error.

Sound Volume

Off, High, Medium, Low

Orientation Sensor

Orient pictures/videos so that they are displayed with the correct side up.

Still - On/Off/On Transfer (using EasyShare software)

Video - On/Off

Digital Zoom

Turn digital zoom on or off.

On, Off

LCD Brightness

Choose LCD brightness.

Power Save

High Power

LCD Dimmer

Choose inactivity time until LCD dims.

30, 20, 10 seconds or Off (no dimming)

Auto Power Off

Choose inactivity time until camera turns off.

10, 5, 3, 1 minutes

Date & Time

Set date and time.

Video Out

Choose the regional setting that lets you connect the camera to a television or other external device.

NTSC - used in North America and Japan; most common format.

PAL - used in Europe and China.

Red Eye Preflash

Choose whether a preflash fires when the flash is in Red Eye mode.

On - red eye flash fires before the picture is taken.

Off - red eye flash does not fire.

NOTE: The camera automatically corrects red eye, even if the Red Eye is set to Off.

Language

Choose your language.

Image Storage

Choose a storage location for pictures/videos.

Auto - the camera uses the card if one is in the camera. If not, the camera uses internal memory.

Internal Memory - the camera always uses internal memory, even if a card is installed.

Set Tag

Create and assign tags to pictures/videos. You can apply different Set Tag choices to videos and to pictures.

Clear All - selected tag settings are cancelled.

Add Tag - create a tag.

Delete Tag - delete a tag.

Reset Camera

Available in all modes except SCN-Custom.

Reset settings to their default.

Format

CAUTION:
Formatting deletes all pictures/ videos, including those that are protected. Removing a card during formatting may damage the card.

Memory Card - deletes everything on the card; formats the card.

Cancel - exits without making a change.

Internal Memory - deletes everything in internal memory including email addresses, and tag names; formats the internal memory.
