Camera does not turn on, off; buttons do not function.

• Charge rechargeable batteries (Charging the rechargeable batteries); replace non-rechargeable batteries.

Camera freezes when a card is inserted or removed.

• Turn the camera off, then back on. Make sure the camera is turned off before inserting or removing a card.

LCD is too dark.

• Adjust the LCD Brightness setting ( ).

In Review, a blue or black screen is displayed instead of a picture.

• Transfer the picture to the computer (Transferring, sharing pictures), then format the card or internal memory ( ).

  Caution: Formatting a card deletes all pictures and videos.

• Take another picture.

In Review, you do not see a picture (or the expected picture) on the LCD.

• Format the card in the camera ( )

Flash does not fire.

• Check the flash setting, and change as needed (Using the Flash button).

Memory card is almost or entirely full.

• Transfer the pictures to the computer (Transferring, sharing pictures).

• Delete pictures from the card (Deleting pictures/videos) or insert a new card.

The Reset All Camera Settings feature did not take effect.

• After using the Reset All Camera Settings feature ( ), turn the camera off and then on again.

Battery life is short.

• Use a power-saving LCD Brightness setting ( ).

Shutter button does not work.

• Make sure the camera is on (Turning on the camera).

• Transfer pictures to the computer (Transferring, sharing pictures), delete pictures from the camera (Deleting pictures/videos), or insert a card with available memory (Storing pictures on an SD/SDHC Card).

Zoom does not always work.

• You cannot zoom in Super Macro focus mode (Using the Focus button).

Memory card not recognized.

• Card may be corrupted. Format the card in the camera ( ).

• Use another memory card.

Pictures on card (or in internal memory) are corrupted.

• Retake pictures.

• Do not remove card while the camera is on.

• Keep the rechargeable batteries charged.
