Status Solution

Camera does not turn on

Camera does not turn off

Camera buttons and controls do not function

In Review, a blue or black screen is displayed instead of a picture

  • Transfer all pictures to the computer (Transferring and printing pictures).

  • Take another picture. If the problem continues, change the image storage location to internal memory.

Pictures remaining number does not decrease after taking a picture

  • Continue taking pictures. The camera is operating normally.

(The camera estimates the number of pictures remaining after each picture is taken, based on picture size and content.)

Picture orientation is not accurate

  • Set the Orientation Sensor to ON.

Flash does not fire

  • Check the flash setting, and change as needed.

    NOTE: The flash does not fire in all modes.

Storage location is almost or entirely full

  • Change the image storage location to internal memory.

Battery life is short

  • Make sure the correct battery type is installed (Battery life).

  • Wipe the contacts with a clean, dry cloth before inserting a battery in the camera.

  • Insert a new or charged battery (Loading the KLIC-7001 battery).

You cannot take a picture

Error message appears on LCD

  • Turn the camera off, then on again.

  • Remove the memory card.

  • Remove the battery. Wipe the contacts with a clean, dry cloth.

  • Insert a new or charged battery.

  • If the problem still exists, get help (Getting help).

Memory card not recognized or camera freezes with card.

  • Card may be corrupted. Format the card in the camera.

  • Use another memory card.

  • Card was inserted or removed from the camera while the camera was seated in an EasyShare photo frame dock 2. Turn the camera off, then on again.

Some LCD pixels stay on or off.

  • This is normal for LCD technology. This does not affect pictures or videos.

Cannot view panoramic pictures on another camera.

  • Panoramic pictures may not be viewable on devices that do not support panoramic capture.
