1 Getting Started

Turning the Camera On and Off

			Slide the On/Off switch to the On position. The Power light blinks 3 times. The ready light blinks green while the camera performs a self-check. When the ready light glows steady green (and the Mode dial is set to Still or Video ), the camera is ready to take pictures or videos. In Still and Video modes, a live view and a status bar appear on the LCD.
			To turn live view on or off, press the Select button.
		To turn off the camera, slide the On/Off switch to the Off position. The camera completes operations that are in process.

Built-in Lens Cover

The lens has a built-in cover that protects it from dust and scratches. The cover opens when the camera is turned on and closes when the camera is turned off.
