2 Taking Pictures

Close-up Mode

Use this mode to capture subjects 6 to 27.5 in. (13 to 70 cm) from the lens in Wide Angle, or 8.6 to 27.5 in. (22 to 70 cm) in Telephoto.

NOTE: For the best possible pictures in Close-up mode:
  • Use the camera screen to frame your subject.

  • Direct as much ambient light onto the subject as possible. If you turn on the flash when the subject is closer than 1.5 ft (0.5 m), overexposure and undesired shadows may result.




  1. Turn the Mode dial to .

Liveview turns on. The camera screen displays a mode description. To interrupt the description, press .

  2. Press the Shutter button half-way and hold to set the exposure and focus.

  3. When the Ready light glows green, press the Shutter button the rest of the way down to take the picture.

The Ready light blinks green while the picture is saved.


Default flash setting:

Off

Available flash settings:

Auto, Flash Off, Fill Flash, Red-eye

Camera returns to default:

When you change modes or turn off the camera.
