9 Troubleshooting
Problem

Camera cannot connect to the network
|

Make sure a Kodak Wi-Fi card is correctly inserted in the camera.

Make sure the camera is turned on and has adequate battery power.

Make sure the wireless router and network are running before the camera begins scanning for a network.

Make sure you are within the recommended operating range.

The network profile on your camera is incorrect. Change the SSID, security, and mode settings on the camera to match those of the network.

There is interference in the wireless signal (such as a microwave oven or a cordless telephone).

Camera cannot connect to KODAK EASYSHARE Gallery (or regional online Kodak picture service), or service is interrupted
|

The wireless router is not connected to Internet or an Internet connection is unavailable.

The online picture service is unavailable.
-
There is no online Kodak picture service in the region.

A firewall is blocking the camera from accessing Internet.
-
The proxy setting on the camera is incorrect (if required).
-
The IP address setting on the camera is incorrect. Change the IP address on the camera or set to Dynamic IP.

The email address and/or password on camera are incorrect.
-
There is a problem with the network (see above).

Camera cannot connect to the expected EasyShare software
|

Authentication in EasyShare software is needed the first time connecting. Click the Help button in the Kodak EasyShare software for details.

The Enable Wireless Connection option in EasyShare software is not checked. Click the Help button in the Kodak EasyShare software for details.

EasyShare software is not running. Open EasyShare software. Once open, you may close the active session, however make sure the Kodak logo appears in your system tray.

EasyShare software is not installed. Load the EasyShare software CD that came with the camera or download from the Web (www.kodak.com/go/easysharesw).

The camera is connected to the wrong wireless router using the same setting.

The EasyShare software is an older version that doesn't support wireless service. Load the software CD that came with the camera, or download the latest software from the Web (www.kodak.com/go/easysharesw).

The computer is on a different network. Configure your computer and camera network settings so they match.

There is a problem with the network (see above).
