2 Taking pictures and videos

Customizing your camera

  1. Press the Mode button to highlight Camera setup .

  2. Press to highlight the setting you wish to change, then press the OK button.

  3. Choose an option, then press the OK button.

Setting Icon Options

Quickview

Set whether or not to display Quickview after taking a picture or video.

ON (default) - After you take a picture or video, Quickview displays it on the camera screen for approximately 5 seconds.

OFF - Pictures and videos are saving without being shown in Quickview.

Sound

Choose whether the camera makes a sound when you power up, release the shutter, for the self-timer, and for warnings.

ON (default) - Shutter sound, and several sound themes.

Shutter Only - Only the shutter sound.

OFF - Turn off all sounds (warnings only).

Choose the sound to be heard when you press the Shutter button.

Sound Volume

Choose the sound volume.

LCD Brightness

Choose the brightness of the camera screen.

Setting Memory

Set whether the camera settings are stored when the camera is turned off.

OFF (default) - The camera powers up in Auto mode, no matter what mode it was turned off in.

ON - The camera powers up in the last picture-taking mode.

Orientation Sensor

Orient pictures so they are displayed with the correct side up.

NOTE: It may take up to 5 seconds for the camera to convert a picture.

The orientation sensor is turned off in Burst mode.

Mode Description

Set whether description of the selected mode is displayed when changing modes.

OFF

ON (default) - A brief description of the picture-taking mode is displayed for 3 seconds.

Date & Time

Set date and time.

Date Time Format

Set a format for the date and time display.

Date - Choose a format for the date display.

Time - Choose a format for the time display.

Date Stamp

Imprint the date on pictures and videos taken in the Time Lapse Capture mode. Note that the date once imprinted cannot be erased.

Language

Choose a language.

Video Out

Choose the regional setting that lets you connect the camera to a television or other external device.

NTSC (default) - used in North America and Japan; most common format.

PAL - used in Europe and China.

Photo Frame Setting

Set the Photo Frame function that can be used when the camera is set in the Kodak Photo Frame Dock.

Format

Formatting deletes all pictures and videos, including those that are protected. Removing a card during formatting may damage the card.

Memory Card - deletes everything on the card; formats the card.

Exit (default) - exits without making a change.

Internal Memory - formats the internal memory and deletes everything including e-mail addresses, album names, and Favorites.
