Scan Documents

Use Home Center software to print copies, e-mail or save original documents as files.

 

Scanning documents from Home Center

1   On the main screen, select Scan Documents and Pictures.

2   Place your original document face down on the scanner glass, or face up into the automatic document feeder (if available).

3   Enter your scan selections:

a)  In the Printer field, select your all-in-one printer.

b)  Select Document.
Some models of KODAK all-in-one printers have duplexing document feeder.  To scan both sides of your original using the document feeder, select the 2-sided original in document feeder check box.

NOTE: This option is not available if the connected printer does not include the required hardware.

c)   Select the type of scan you want to complete:

Home Center Software, Version 7.5

Home Center Software, Version 7.4 and earlier

Color

Scan in color.

Black & White

Scan in standard-contrast black and white.

Note: This option accurately converts density variations to shades of gray.

Color

Scan in color.

Black & White

Scan in high-contrast black and white.

Note: Recommended for text-only documents.

Grayscale

Scan in standard-contrast black and white.

Note: This option accurately converts density variations to shades of gray.

 

d)   Select scan options:

Resolution

Select from the drop-down list.

Note: For a higher quality scan select a higher resolution.

Perfect Page Technology

Enables automatic corrections to scanned images.  

Perfect Page Technology improves brightness, contrast, clarity, and color reproduction accuracy, while automatically eliminating small imperfections.

4   Select Preview Scan or Next.

Preview Scan

Scans a preview image so you can apply adjustments. See Adjust Scanned Image for details.

Next

Scans the document and displays the Edit screen.

 5   On the Edit screen, edit each image as needed.

 6   Click Next to go to the Finish screen.

 7   Select to print, save, or share.
